Dr. Donald Harrison, Avid Triathlete

Dr. Donald Harrison attended Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland. He later went on to receive his Degree of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University.  During his time at Mount Saint Mary’s, Dr. Harrison competed as an NCAA Division 1 scholarship athlete in track and field and cross-country. His collegiate running career was stifled do a plantar fascia rupture during his sophomore year. This lead him to Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine where earned a doctorate of podiatric medicine degree.  Encouraged to continue to involve himself in the running community while in  podiatric medical school, Dr. Harrison began to coach and lecture at the youth and high school level.

Understanding the need to increase awareness and self-care of the human body, Dr. Harrison lectures on topics such as injury prevention and rehabilitation, nutrition, biomechanics and athlete recovery. Fueled by his own injuries and experience, Athlete Everyday was born in 2018. It's mission: to help athletes and active individuals prevent injury, recover rapidly and become educated about their sport and body.

Currently he treats and advises, coaches and athletes for at the youth, high school and collegiate levels on the US East Coast.

For more than a decade, he has been invited to serve on the Medical Staff of Penn Relay, the largest elite-level multi-day track and field event in the nation. In addition, Dr. Harrison has served as Medical staff for the Ironman Lake Placid, the Detroit Free Press Marathon, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and the Marine Corps Marathon.
